Created for Both Realms – This is Reality   Leave a comment

We are spiritual beings dwelling in earthly bodies.  We are not meant to be bound by the limitations of this realm.  We were created for freedom.  We were created to co-exist in both realms going back and forth at will.  Our feet walk in this earthly realm but we are also seated with Jesus in Heavenly realms. (Eph. 2:6)

How is this possible?  To the natural mind, it isn’t.  If all we believe is what we can see and hear and touch in the natural we will be completely limited to that.  The truth of the Word of God must be our basic foundation.  He even tells us that He framed the worlds by things we cannot see. (Heb. 11:3)  The Apostle Paul wrote that the things which are seen are temporal (temporary) but the things not seen are eternal. ( 2 Cor. 4:18)  He also said that we have been given the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16).   This explains how we have the ability to believe the truth of God and His realm rather than just what our natural senses can detect … if we choose to do so.

These are days when the enemy not only whispers subtle lies continually but uses whoever he can to openly dispute and tear down the truth of God’s Word.  Satan’s words are poison.  Some are seeds of doubt that will germinate and strangle our faith. Some are blatant, bold faced lies that attack the very fibre of our relationship with God.  The antidote is the truth of God’s Word and believing it is crucial.  If you have been bombarded by this recently, you must run into the arms of the Lord that are open and waiting for you.  See His eyes of love and remember that He cannot and will not lie. In the secret place of intimacy with Him is your safety.

We are born into the Father’s family.  His house is our house.  We don’t live in a separate part of the house.  His table is our table.  We sit beside Him at the table.  We are like children with access to everything He has.  And He encourages us to eat the good things He feeds us and then to rest and sleep curled up in His arms with our head on His chest.  That’s how much He loves us.  That’s how He has elevated us even though we are completely unworthy. It’s not about us.  It’s about what He has done.  And He is insulted and hurt if we don’t receive His love, just as any father would be.

I invite you to listen to a prophetic song by Laura Rhinehart which shows this so clearly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wF5284YcMM

Come into the Father’s house and be changed by His love.

“My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.” (Ps. 84:2)

The presence of God is rightly addictive.  After you have looked into His eyes and seen the love He has for you, after you have felt the strength and safety of His arms around you – nothing in this realm can compare and you will constantly be longing for more of Him.  And there is always more!  There is so much more than these mortal bodies and minds can ever experience.  Even in eternity He will be continually revealing more and more of His wonders to us.  The angels who have been with Him from their creation are still crying “holy, holy, holy” in response to the facets of His character that are continually unfolding before them.  He is unlimited.  There is always more of Him to learn, to see, to experience, to love.

This is a relationship, a love affair.  Nothing and no-one else can ever truly satisfy our hearts but Jesus.  Every other earthly relationship is a gift from Him but there is none like Him. To hear His voice, to see Him smile, to feel His hand holding ours leaves us at the same time satisfied yet longing still.  We are deeply satisfied and content, yet knowing there are depths of Him that are still waiting to be explored.  His love is an invitation for more and we are invited to pursue Him into depths beyond our imagination. (Eph.3:20, Ps. 42:7)

Leave behind the old mindset of “How much can I get by with?” or “How near the world can I live and still be a Christian?”  These things are light years away from the true relationship He longs to have with us.  Run away from the Pharisees who split hairs and burden you with lists of regulations and rules.  That is only religion, and a very sad and heavy existence. Change your mindset to questions of “How close can I get to Jesus?”  “How much of the Heavenly realms can I be allowed to see?” “How much time can I spend in His presence?”

Follow your heart’s cry for your Father and His Son, who is the Lover of your soul. Those who hunger and thirst shall be filled. (Mt. 5:6)  The wind of the Spirit will blow away the chains like cobwebs and free you to come running into His arms of love.

May you be blessed with hunger that only He can satisfy.  And may you be drawn ever deeper into His presence.
